Provider Information

Identifying the appropriate care providers is essential for delivering quality support that meets the unique needs of every individual.

A Direct Support Professional (DSP) is an individual who assists people with intellectual or developmental disabilities, helping them to lead fulfilling lives and actively participate in their communities.

Key Responsibilities of DSPs:

  • Act as caregivers, teachers, mentors, and confidants for those they support.
  • Foster independence, teach new skills, and promote full community engagement.

A DSP can choose to be self-employed, working independently and setting their own schedule, or they may be employed by a provider agency, collaborating with a team of other direct support professionals. In either scenario, the responsibilities of a DSP are driven by the person-centered individual service plan and the specific needs of the individuals they serve.

In Brittco you will be able to search for and respond with interest to new clients. If you do not already have a Brittco account registered with TCBDD you can contact Ashley Handel for access: 330-652-9800 ext. 203.
